I am a wife, mother, and hobby baker. I feel like I’ve always baked and it started with watching my Grandmothers and my mother in the kitchen. Their skills and knowledge were pretty basic, but oh so good! I’m from a big family and we would always gather with a meal being shared. That included holidays with extended family and birthday celebrations. My Grandma Gibson would always bring a decorated birthday cake for your birthday and it was made with lots of love and would give you the feeling of being special for your day. When I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would reply, “ A Recipe Mama”. That title meant that I wanted to be like my mom and my Grandmothers who baked something to celebrate happy moments in our lives.
